CHAPTER 23
The last day of shooting…. It was already dark and everyone were already excited about the last scene. It was the before they can finally wrap up the whole production.
“Ellie… Ellie…” one of the female crew called outside of the van where she was busy revising the script for the last needed scene.
Ellie quickly opened the door of the van. “Yes, what’s wrong?” she asked, quite surprised.
“We need you… There’s something you need to see,” another of the female staff said.
“What is it?” Ellie asked as she became more confused. “Oh! Come on… Just come with us,” the first girl said as she quickly took Ellie by the hand and pulled her out of the van.
“Where are we going?” Ellie kept on asking as she was being pulled by the female crew members.
“We need to hurry, there’s something wrong on the set. You need to see it,” the second girl answered.
“Oh… really?” Ellie uttered as she believed the girl’s answer.
Only minutes passed and Ellie was already at the location. The whole scene was already in place, but there were no actors around. Only the production staff where on their positions as if waiting for something.
The two girls suddenly led Ellie into the middle of the set. “Look… you have to stay here for a few minutes more okay. Then you will see what we were telling you about,” the first girl said with a mischievous smile.
“Hey, why am I supposed to stay here? And what’s wrong? I don’t see any problems? And where are the others?” Ellie asked again.
The second girl smiled and suddenly giggled. “Just wait. We assure you… you’ll be surprised.”
Ellie didn’t know what was going on. But she just started to look around as the other staff members kept on whispering to each other and some were also laughing and smiling. She felt like she wanted to run away. She didn’t like being stared at. Then the director appeared together with Micky.
“Micky, what’s going on? What’s wrong? They say I have to do something… Do you know what it is?” Ellie asked as soon as Micky approached her.
Micky smiled sweetly. “Sorry…” he softly replied as he stood only inches away from her.
Ellie looked at Micky with confusion in her eyes. “Sorry for what?”
“For setting this up… For asking the girls to help me to drag you here,” Micky answered.
“They told me I was needed for something. They said I was needed here,” Ellie said.
Again Micky smiled with the most charming smile that would instantly melt the heart of any girl. “Yes, you are needed here… I… need you…” he said in the most serious tone that sent shivers down Ellie’s body.
“What? You… need me?” she repeated as she her heart was already racing fast.
“Yes, I need you…” he replied. And as soon as he uttered those words, a love song suddenly played in the background. And all the lights on the set were instantly set into a more romantic mood.
Slowly and gently, Micky then pulled Ellie closer to him. “I need you, Ellie… I love you… Will you be my girlfriend… my real girlfriend? I have never felt such strong emotions for anyone else… except you. I know our relationship started out quite wrong. But I am determined to prove to you that what I feel for you is true. Please give me a chance to show you how much I love you…”
Ellie stared deep into Micky’s mesmerizing eyes. Somehow she couldn’t breathe. It has been such a long time since she last felt that she was special. And as she continued to gaze into his eyes, she saw love… true love that she had been searching for.
“Could it be true? He really loves me?” the words were racing in her mind.
“Micky… you can’t be serious. You still don’t know me. You still have a lot of things to learn about me… How can you say you love me?” she asked while still doubting his love.
Micky shook his head. “I don’t care about your past. The only thing that matters to me is that I have you in my life… right now… and I hope that you will stay in my life… forever…”
Ellie was stunned. “Am I dreaming?” she couldn’t help but ask herself.
“I want to have you in my arms…. until we both grow old… Can you please give me the chance to show you how wonderful love is? I know you must have been hurt so bad a long time ago… that’s why you’re afraid to love again. But I am different. I promise you… I will take care of you. I will never let you down,” Micky uttered.
All the girls present at the set were gasping in total awe and envy. Somehow they were all wishing that a guy would also propose to them in the same manner.
“Micky…. I don’t know what to say… I am confused,” Ellie uttered.
“Say you’ll give me a chance. I want to show you that love can also heal a broken heart,” Micky replied.
As Micky tightened his hold on Ellie’s body, he then slowly lowered his head to search for her lips. At first, Ellie didn’t know how to react. But as soon as she felt the sweetness of Micky’s lips, it was like she couldn’t think anymore. She was instantly drawn and was immediately lost in his kiss.
“So this is how it feels to be kissed by someone… It feels so good… It feels like… Is this love? Is this real? Am I really worthy to be loved again? How I wish I can stay in your arms forever… I have never felt so secure in my entire life… This is the first time that I have felt like I am alive again… Can I really love you Micky? Can you really love me… after you know my dark secret? For now, I will allow myself to be happy. I won’t think of what’s going to come anymore… This time…. I will just let fate take its course… If you’re the one for me… then so be it. I welcome you into my life, Micky. From now on… I am yours. ”
Everyone was shocked with what Micky did. Even the other DBSK members, especially Jaejoong who were in a hidden part of the set were all left stunned.
Jaejoong felt like all the blood in his body was suddenly drained. The scene was like a nightmare for him. How he wanted to just ran to Ellie’s side and take her away from Micky.
Tears rolled down from his eyes. His heart was being crushed and torn and there was nothing he could do. As he stared at Ellie as she slowly responded to Micky’s kisses, his heart was screaming out her name. All the pain and anger was slowly building in his heart, but he still tried to control his emotions.
He then tried to wipe away his tears. He needed to accept everything. He needed to be happy both for Ellie and Micky. This is what he wanted. This is what he begged Micky for. A new life for the only woman he loved. He needed to accept that he was no longer a part of her life.
As he quietly turned and walked away, his heart was continuously bleeding… “Lena… I am officially a part of your past now….a past that should be forgotten completely. I love you… Take care of yourself. I know Micky will surely take good care of you. I know I no longer need to be worried about you. I will be praying for your happiness. Goodbye Lena. Now I have to bury your memory in the deepest part of my heart.” He unexpectedly sobbed and started to run. He ran as fast as his legs could carry him. He needed to get away. He didn’t want to make a scene. He needed to let go for everyone’s sake.
“I love you…”
