CHAPTER 9

After Hikaru left . . . .

Micky stared at Mukades as she slept so peacefully on the bed. She was still wearing the same evening dress that she wore at the party. The dress was quite revealing and too seductive for Muko’s taste. So it was very obvious that Hikaru picked the dress for her.   He then gently arranged Muko’s long hair. It was covering a part of her beautiful face.   Micky’s heart skipped a beat after he accidentally touched Mukades’ tender cheek.   “God! You’re so beautiful,” he couldn’t help but utter as he continued to stare at her.

Mukades suddenly moaned. Somehow she was still very drunk but still conscious in a way.   Micky carefully sat down on the bed beside Mukades. He then again stared at her. He was very confused.

“What should I do Muko? I am really confused right now. Your sister have me such a difficult situation. I want to help you . . . but I really don’t know how. I know I told Hikaru that I would sleep with you. But I would never do that. Yes, I like you. But I would never force myself on you,” Micky uttered as he continued to look at the girl sleeping beside him. Somehow he was pretending that he was talking to someone.

Micky let out a long and deep sigh. Then he cupped his face with his hands.   “What should I do? I don’t want to force myself on you. But I’m afraid that if I don’t do it, Hikaru will surely find someone else to do it. And if that happens . . . I don’t know if I will ever be able to forgive myself,” he then slowly ran his fingers through his hair in total desperation.

Micky suddenly closed his eyes. “Please God! Please let this just be a bad dream. Please wake me up. I don’t want this anymore. This is too maddening for me,” he uttered continuously. He was trying very hard to pretend that everything wasn’t real.

Muko moaned again. Micky quickly looked at her to see if she was already awake.   This time Mukades moaned louder. She was obviously dreaming.   Micky carefully stood up and took a blanket from a nearby chair. Then he gently placed it to cover Muko’s body.

A deep sigh escaped his throat. “What am I going to do now?” he again asked himself.   He was already very tired both in body and mind. Somehow he needed some rest. He decided to lay down on the sofa while waiting for Mukades to wake up. He quietly sat down and then rested his body. He was so tired that within minutes he immediately fell asleep.

Hours passed . . . .   Mukades felt very weak and somehow sick. She slowly opened her eyes and tried to focus.

“Where am I?” she started to ask herself as her gaze traveled around her surrounding. She immediately recognized the familiar setting of the hotel suite that she usually uses together with Hikaru. She quickly relaxed. She was in a safe place. She thought to herself.

She then tried to think back of the last thing that she could remember. But her mind was totally blank. She gently touched her head.   She was still feeling dizzy. Then she started to remember things . . .   “I shouldn’t have drank so much wine,” she couldn’t help but utter.   She quickly felt embarrassed by what she had done. And to think she was going to enter a convent . . . she thought. She shook her head, as if to erase the things and images that she was thinking.   Then she suddenly remembered something. “Was is a dream?” she started to ask herself.

She slowly sat up and looked around. And within seconds, she was able to confirm that she wasn’t dreaming after all. Micky was truly the one who carried her in his arms. She quickly felt her cheeks turn hot with embarrassment again.

She quietly walked up to Micky’s side. She couldn’t help but stare at his face as he slept.   “You must be so tired. Thank you for looking after me,” Mukades uttered softly as she placed a blanket on Micky’s body.   “The girl you’re going to marry is surely very lucky, Micky. If we had met on a different time . . . I would have easily fallen in love with you. I know I will never have the chance to see you again. Take care of yourself, Micky and I will be praying for your success and happiness,” she uttered in a low voice.

Then she went back to her bed. She was still weak and a bit dizzy. As she stared at the ceiling, different thoughts and images started to cloud her mind.   “Am I really making the right decision?” she asked herself. “Will I really be happy as a nun?”   Mukades sighed. “Is it a big sin to like a guy? What do I do now?”   Suddenly the image of her grandmother appeared in her mind. She let out a long sigh again. “I can’t back out now . . . I already promised that I will fulfill my mother’s duties. I need to do this . . . for my mother’s sake.”   Mukades continued to think about her future in the convent and her future life as a nun.

Minutes passed . . . .

She had also fallen asleep. Somehow her mind needed a rest.

Another few hours passed . . . .   Micky suddenly opened his eyes. “What time is it?” he asked out loud. He quickly looked at his watch and was horrified at what he saw. It was already 8 in the morning.   He hurriedly stood up and went to where Muko was sleeping.

“She’s still asleep. What should I do? Should I wake her up?” he asked with worry.   Micky started to walk back and forth between Mukades’ bed and the balcony of the hotel room.

He was already very nervous of what was about to happen. He wasn’t able to do what he was supposed to do. And he knew there was a price to pay for what he did. He was so concerned about Mukades’ safety. He was trying to think of a way to help her without having to sleep with her. But no matter how hard he tried to think, there was really no other way for him to help her.   His heart was immediately filled with fear as he quickly remembered Hikaru’s words.

“Will she really ask someone else to sleep with Muko?” Micky asked himself as he stared out of the balcony.   Somehow he couldn’t even try to imagine the scene wherein Mukades was with another man. It was totally unacceptable.

“Aaaahhh,” he cried out in total frustration.

“Micky, what’s wrong?” Mukades asked as she unexpectedly entered the balcony.

Micky quickly turned around to face her. He was totally surprised. Somehow he still wasn’t prepared to face her yet. He was still trying to think of a perfect solution to their problem. And being faced with her was just going to distract him more.

“What’s wrong?” Mukades asked again.

Micky sighed. “Should I tell her the truth?” he started to ask himself.   He looked at her beautiful and innocent face. Somehow he couldn’t bear to see her crying or hurt. “I can’t tell her the truth. She will surely be hurt,” he thought.

Micky tried to smile. “Good morning! How are you feeling?”

“I still have a hang over, I guess,” she replied with a sweet smile.

“You shouldn’t have drunk so much wine last night,” Micky uttered.

Mukades nodded. “I know, it’s just that I’ve known some of those men ever since I was young. And somehow I just couldn’t say no, when they kept on refilling my glass,” she answered.

Micky’s face turned serious. “You should be more careful next time.”

Mukades smiled bitterly. “Next time? I don’t think there will ever be a next time.”
Micky’s heart felt a sharp pain with her words.

“It’s already morning. You didn’t have to stay with me all night. You could have just left me here. Do your friends know where you are?” Mukades asked with concern.

Micky smiled while trying to hide the fear in his eyes. “Don’t worry about me. You should be more concerned about yourself,” he couldn’t help but voice out.

“Why?” she asked curiously.

“Uhmm . . . nothing,” he quickly replied.

“I think you should return to your room now, Micky. I know you’re still tired. You should get more rest,” she said with concern in her eyes.

Micky stared at her. “Tell me honestly. Aren’t you concerned about staying the whole night with me? Aren’t you even curious about what happened or is something happened?” he asked seriously.

Mukades suddenly looked confused. “Why? Why should I be concerned? Did something happen?”

“Nothing happened . . . but,” Micky uttered but suddenly stopped.

Mukades smiled. “I know you’re a good man, Micky. So I am not worried if I stayed the whole night with you . . . I wouldn’t even mind, even if it was two days or even three.”

Micky shook his head in disbelief. “You’re too trusting,” he couldn’t help but utter.   This time, Mukades lightly laughed. “Stop being so serious, come on . . . We need to get out of here. Someone might suddenly see the two of us walking out of the room. You can already imagine what they would think. And I know it would surely be bad for your image,” she said more seriously.

Micky somehow didn’t want to leave. He still wanted to protect her. He knew as long as he was with her, she was safe from Hikaru’s plans. He still didn’t know what to do regarding the arrangement he made with Hikaru. He had promised to sleep with Mukades. But he wasn’t able to do it. And now he was left with so much fear for the thing that was about to happen.   Mukades quickly returned inside the room while Micky slowly followed her, still unable to decide on what to do next.

“Come on . . . let’s leave,” Mukades said as she quickly  went straight to the door.   “Micky . . . hurry up,” she uttered.

She never expected what was waiting for her as soon as she stepped outside of the room. Several reporters quickly took Mukades’ picture.

“Ms. Satou . . . Ms. Satou is Micky Yoochun with you? Did the two of you really spend the night together?” a reporter quickly asked.

Bewildered and shocked, Mukades just stood frozen outside the room while the reporters continued to take pictures of her.

Micky quickly came out of the room as soon as he heard the commotion. Then he gently took Mukades hand and pulled her into the room again.

“Micky . . . are you Ms. Satou’s boyfriend?” a reporter asked before Micky angrily closed the door in front of him.

“What the  . . . how did they know we were here?” Micky couldn’t help but ask out loud.

Mukades stared at Micky, still shocked and confused. “What do we do now, Micky? They took pictures of me . . . and you as well,” she asked with fear in her eyes. “What will my relatives say once the news come out?”

Micky also didn’t know what to do. “Wait . . . I’ll call my manager . . . And you, call your sister,” he uttered.

Mukades nodded, and with trembling hands she dialed her sister’s number. Somehow she already knew something bad was going to happen.

A RACE TO MY HEART (FAN FICTION) (CHAPTER 19)

CHAPTER 19

Another week passed . . . .

Fate was already finished with her practice for the big race. The date of the race was suddenly moved to a much earlier date. So she had been practicing more seriously for the passed few days.

Unknown to her friends and especially Michael, she had another reason why she had been practicing almost non-stop from the morning until evening. She wasn’t practicing because of the race . . . but because she wanted to forget . . . someone.

She stared at the race track. And even though she was looking at it, somehow she was seeing something else.               “Max,” she uttered. “What are you doing now? Are you still angry with me? I miss you Max . . . I miss you so much,” she said in a low voice.

Fate was thinking so deeply that she didn’t even realize that Michael was already sitting beside her.

“Talk to me,” he unexpectedly uttered.

Surprised, Fate quickly looked at him.

“Michael, what are you doing here? Are you already finished?” she asked.
Michael shook his head. “ I already finished more than an hour ago.”

“An hour ago? Hmm . . . sorry . . . I didn’t notice,” she said with a low voice.
Michael slowly stared at Fate again. This time he tried to study her reaction.
“I know something’s bothering you. Why won’t you tell me? Maybe I can help,” he uttered softly.

Fate tried to smile. “I am afraid my problem is already way beyond help. It’s already done and . . . over.”

Michael frowned. “What do you mean? Does it have something to do with Max?”

Fate continued to stare out at the race track. She sighed and then nodded. She knew it was time to face reality. She needed to accept that it was really over. She needed to learn how to move on.

“We’re over . . . Michael,” she uttered while trying to control her voice. Somehow just saying those words was enough to make her cry.

Surprised . . . Michael quickly looked at Fate. “Over? What do you mean? As in . . . . break-up?” he asked, still unable to believe what he just heard.

Fate smiled. “Yes, we’re over. We broke up . . . It’s already been a week. I guess it’s time for me to accept it. You see, I’ve been trying to deny it. Deep down inside, I was still hoping . . . that he would come back to me. Somehow I was still praying that he would learn how to forgive me,” she uttered as tears finally found their way out of her eyes.

Michael was shocked. He didn’t know what else to say. He wanted to comfort her but he didn’t know how.

“But why?” he found himself asking out loud.

Fate shook her head. “The reason why we broke up doesn’t matter now. He didn’t trust me enough. And he didn’t believe in my words. . . And I actually thought that I already knew him, I guess I was wrong. I was very . . . very wrong.”
“But how could he do that? After you slept with him . . . you’re just going to let him leave you?” Michael uttered with anger in his voice.

Fate looked at Michael. “What do you want me to do? Do you want me to stay with him . . . even though we are already hurting each other? Is that what you want? I no longer care about what happened between us. I will just consider it as a bad dream . . . a very bad dream . . . that I need to erase from my mind.”
Michael stayed silent. He was totally left speechless by Fate’s words.

“Michael . . .” Fate suddenly uttered.

“What?” he asked back in a very soft and gentle voice.

“After the race . . . do you think you can accompany on a trip?” she suddenly asked.

Michael nodded his head. “You know I would gladly go anywhere with you.”
“Thank you . . . I think I really need to rest for a while once the race is over. I want to go somewhere and try to forget. I want to start over . . .” she uttered with so much sadness that it was breaking Michael’s heart.

“Don’t worry . . . I will help you. No matter what happens . . . I will always be beside you,’ Michael uttered as he gently took Fate into his arms.

Fate didn’t react to what Michael did. Somehow she needed it. Somehow she needed someone at that exact time. She slowly closed her eyes and silently wept while Michael tightly held her in his arms.

Days passed . . .

The day of the race finally came . . . .

The DBSK boys were all in the dressing room of a studio. They were getting ready for a TV performance when . . . .

“Hey, turn on the TV. The race is about to begin. I am really curious who is going to win,” one of the studio staff uttered to another studio crew,

“I hope Fate wins. I bet she’s going to be the winner,” one of the female staff members suddenly voiced out.

Micky, Jaejoong, U-Know and Xiah just stayed quiet while they tried to observe Max’s reaction to the things they were all hearing.

Max tried to ignore everything he was hearing and just played with his phone. He was trying very hard to pretend that he didn’t care anymore.

Jaejoong shook his head in dismay. “What a big waste,” he couldn’t help but utter. He still couldn’t accept what Max did. Somehow he was thinking that Max could have just learned how to forgive Fate. All of them knew that Max still loved Fate dearly, and that he was just trying to act tough, but deep down inside he was already hurting.

Jaejoong thought that Max could have just forgiven Fate and then they could have just started over. So in this way, both of them wouldn’t be hurting so much. Unknown to his friends, he had been searching news about Fate ever since she and Max broke up. Somehow he wanted to see if she was also affected the same way that Max was. And based on what he had read on news articles, he could easily say that Fate was also trying very hard to forget. He had read that Fate had been practicing day and night on the race track as soon as the two broke up.

Xiah sighed. “What do we do with that guy?” he asked the other DBSK members while pertaining to Max.

Max was in a corner of the room, trying to busy himself with the game in his phone.

U-Know shrugged his shoulders. “What can we do? It’s his life . . . and his decision.”

“I still think he made a wrong decision. He’s a fool to have just broken up with her like that . . . “ Jaejoong couldn’t help but say.

“We don’t have any right to make decisions for him. He’s already old enough to know what he wants and what he needs to do. If he already decided to break it off with her, then we should just respect that,” Micky uttered.

“He’s a fool. Look at him now. He’s hurting and she’s hurting as well,” Jaejoong voiced out.

“He’s our friend. Let’s just respect his decision,” Micky uttered again.               “I still think they could have solved their problem in another way,” Jaejoong uttered with a sigh.

Suddenly one of the TV crew walked into the room . . . He was busy chatting with a younger man.

“I heard that Fate’s team will immediately leave the country as soon as the race is over. And there’s also a rumor going around that both Michael and Fate have dropped out of the next race that they were supposed to join. I think that race is supposed to be held in Germany,” the older man said while arranging some studio materials in the room.

“Really? Wonder why? Hey, isn’t Fate supposed to be Max’s girlfriend? Whatever happened to them?” the younger man suddenly asked without thinking.

Max then suddenly stood up and threw his phone on the table near him. He was obviously very irritated. The phone made a big crashing sound that caught everyone’s attention.

Both the older and younger man exchanged glances with each other. They had totally forgotten that Max was in the room. Embarrassed, they quickly left the room.

“Max, that was rude,” U-Know said in an angry manner.

“Rude? You’re talking about being rude? They’re the ones who started it first,” Max answered with irritation.

Xiah, Jaejoong and U-Know just shook their heads in dismay. Somehow they couldn’t understand their friend anymore. He had totally changed into someone they didn’t know.

Suddenly their attention was drawn to the TV . . . a big news was being broadcasted live.

“This just came in a few minutes ago. . . . Fate Nakamura just finished first place in the big race today. But there is a big commotion in the race track now. It seems as soon as she stepped out of the car, she instantly collapsed. One of our fellow reporters is already in the hospital where she was brought. Please stay tune for additional updates regarding this shocking news,” the TV reporter announced.

LOVE BEYOND THE STARS (FAN FICTION) (COMPLETE) (35 CHAPTERS) (RE-POST)

LOVE BEYOND THE STARS

CHAPTER 1

The time is YEAR 2009, the world is in chaos, a race of cruel aliens named Trusians have invaded the Earth and they have already destroyed half of the planet. Their sole purpose is to invade and conquer the planet. The Trusians are ugly looking creatures with the body similar to a human but with a head and skin similar to a reptile and insect. Luckily another race of aliens from the twin planets Scion and Xion have come to the planet to help. They are the Scions and the Xions. They are very similar to humans except for the fact that they all have the same features. They are all more than 6 feet tall, with either red or white hair, with a very white skin tone, and with muscular bodies. Even the colors of their eyes are either blue or green. Not like humans that have different characteristics due to different nationalities. Only male Scions and Xions were allowed to go to earth, while all their females are left in their planets. Aside from the physical features, what sets them apart from humans is the fact that they have telekinetic and psychic powers. Their royalties also possess a special kind of energy that they use to either heal or even inflict any damage to anyone.
The Scions and Xions built different stations below the ground surface on different locations of the planet, where they place all the humans that they have already rescued. Here the rescued people are trying to live their lives as normal as possible. Each stations host different types of people, the people are divided into groups, based on age, gender, professions and expertise. As the world above ground is still in confusion and a war is still going on between the two alien races, the human civilization have already adapted to the life underground. Here they may be confined by the walls but they all live in equality and harmony, all their necessities are given, there are no rich or poor. All are equally given what they need. Each station are all link by one program, a most advanced form of computer like program that the Xions have developed after they arrived in the planet. The program is called Saia, she has her own consciousness and can manipulate and monitor all the stations in the whole planet Earth.

Our story begins a year after the Trusians first arrived in the planet. The Korean boy band DBSK has been transferred to a new station. All of them are still confused on the reason why they have to move to a new station. They were already contented with the station they were in. There they lived with their friends from SUJU, another Korean boy band and some other korean singers. They were all reluctant to leave their friends behind.

"Why do you think we have to move to a new station?" Xiah asked the other DBSK members while waiting in the new station.

"Maybe this is a new station and they are forming another set of people to occupy here," Max answered.

"Well, we're already happy with the last station we were in why change to a new one?" U-Know suddenly said.

"Let's just wait and see who we are going to meet here. Who do you think will be joining us here?" Hero replied.

"That's quite predictable...Korean singers!!! That's who we are going to meet. The last station all had korean singers so there won't be any difference here, I guess. So there's no point in asking," Micky said.

"Hey guys! Haven't you noticed this station is quite different?" Max asked.
"What's different? Looks the same to me. All the stations looks the same from the flooring to the ceiling...hahaha. It's all the same, same material, same color, well we don't even know what materials they use here. It sure isn't steel or aluminum or any earth metals we know," Micky said with a laugh.

"Well, I just feel that something is different. Didn't you notice the guy who welcomed us here. He sure doesn't look like an ordinary Xion or Scion soldier. And didn't you noticed when we walking here from the teleport room, there wasn't any people around here except us and that guy," Max elaborated.
"The reason why there wasn't any one around is because there isn't any except us. So this is a new station," U-Know just exclaimed.

The DBSK members continued chatting with each other when the door suddenly opened. As the door was opening, they were all excited to see who would be joining them here in this new station. One by one the new inhabitants arrived. As each new person entered, the DBSK members were amazed and shocked on who was going to be with them. And as each new inhabitant of the station entered, they sat on different parts of the room. They DBSK boys were all quiet and waited patiently while looking at the others inside the room.
The door suddenly opened. Bakro entered and everybody suddenly fell silent.
"Good day to all of you. I am Bakro. I am the guardian or what you call a personal assistant to the prince of Scion, Prince Lion. I know that all of you are very curious as to why you are all here. You are all pre-selected to be the new inhabitants of this station."

"This is the main station, so all of you should feel very lucky that you are here. For this is the most advanced and well protected station in this planet."

"Wow! This is the main station?” Max exclaimed.

"Yes, this the main station. And this is where the 2 princes of Scion and Xion live," Bakro said with an air of authority.

"Really? What can I say? We are lucky....." Vanness said.

"You will all be staying in one room. I hope you won't feel uncomfortable with that large number being in just one room since the room in the other stations you were before had 60 people per room right?" Bakro asked.

"Now I believe introduction should be in order. Please introduce yourselves one by one. give your name whether stage name or real name, it's all up to you. Then give the name of your group and the country you are from. Please begin." Bakro pointed to the left side of the room.

"Hello! I'm Vic Zhou from the group F4. We are from Taiwan."

"I'm Ken Chu also from F4."

"Jerry Yan from F4. NIce to meet all of you."

"Yo! Vanness Wu from F4. Glad to make your acquaintance."

"I don't know what I am doing here since I am not singer but just an actor. You can call  me Hyun Bin," he said with a smile.

"Same here. Just an actor, Joo Ji Hoon from Korea."

"Me too. Lee Wan also from Korea."

"I am Joe Cheng from Taiwan, also an actor."

"Jun Matsumoto from the group Arashi. We are from Japan."

"Satoshi Ohno from Arashi."

"Sho Sakurai, Arashi."

"Ninomiya Kazunari, Arashi also."

"Lee Jun Ki, an actor from Korea."

"Masaki Aiba, Arashi."

"Well, I am also from Japan but I'm Just an actor. My name is Oguri Shun, " he said with a smile.

"You can call me Seven, also from Korea,"

"I am Jung Ji Hoon or just call me Rain. It's up to you."

"I am Shin Hyesung from Shinhwa. We're from Korea also."

"Lee Min Woo, Shinhwa."

"Jun Jin also from Shinhwa."

"Andy Lee, Shinhwa."

"Kim Dong Wan here. Nice to meet you guys. I am also from the group Shinhwa."

"Hey! Eric Mun, nice to meet you. I am also a part of Shinhwa."

"I am Kim Jeong Hoon, from Korea."

"I am Shin Dong Wook also an actor from Korea."

The DBSK boys were the last ones to introduce themselves.

"Hello! I'm Max Changmin," he said with a big smile.

"Xiah Junsu. we are from the group called Dong Bang Shin Ki or DBSK. We're Koreans also."

"I'm U-Know Yunho, leader of the group."

"Hero Jaejoong, " he said and then waved his hand as a sign of greeting.
"Micky Yoochun, also from DBSK."

"Well now that you've all introduced your selves to one another. Follow me and I'll be showing you your room. The room has already been set with single beds only. I don't think that you'll be needing any storage space for personal belongings since Saia will be providing your every need. So please follow me, " Bakro motioned them to go outside.

One by one, all of them followed Bakro out of the room. As they walked to their new room, they noticed that they passed a lot of doors that automatically opened and closed as they passed.

"As you can see, the whole station is divided into different portions, each portion is separated by locked doors. The room that we were in before is the conference room that is used by the 2 Princes. Their rooms are near that room so that part of the station is well protected by shields and several of locked doors. Your room is on the other side of the station. So I'm sorry if you've all been walking for almost 15 minutes now," Bakro explained.

"That's ok, Mr. Bakro. It's like having an exercise, " Jerry jokingly said.               As they all walked, Bakro continued to talk.

"Your room has its own materializer so Saia will instantly be able to give you what you ask her. Also this station has the most advanced hologram room. We will be passing that room in a few minutes."

Bakro then stopped walking and was infront of a very wide door.

"Saia, open the door," Bakro commanded.

The door opened and the boys were all astounded with the beautiful scenery that they saw. The scene was set as an open field full of different flowers with different colors. It was near an open cliff, overlooking the ocean. The scene was just breathtaking that all of them couldn't stop sighing with disbelief.

"Is this real? Is this really just a hologram room? I can't believe it. It just looks so real," Max exclaimed with such joy.

"As I said before, everything here is the most advanced in all the other stations. So even the hologram room is already integrated with its own materializer. So everything can be interacted with, not like in the other stations. You can only see but can not touch. In this room, everything can be touched as a real object, " Bakro elaborated.

"Wow! This is just amazing," Jun Ki exclaimed.

"I haven't actually touched real flowers ina long time now," Vic murmured.
"Can we stay here for a little longer?" Hyesung asked.

"You will all have the time to spend here. For now, let's go to your room," Bakro replied.

All of them reluctantly followed Bakro out of the beautiful scene that has captivated their interest. Again they walked but only a few minutes later, they stopped and entered another room.

"This is your room," Bakro said.

The room wasn't what they expected their room to be. It was very different from the rooms they were in before. Their new room was very well arranged, with paintings on the walls. The beds were lined with silk beddings. The room was quite roomy with a sense of elegance. It even had a huge screen facing the door.

"This is really our room?” Eric asked.

"This is like a hotel room....."Dong Wook commented.

"Are all the rooms in this station this good?" Dong Wan asked.

"No, this kind of room was specifically designed for all of you," Bakro replied.

"So how can we get what we need like food? Do we talk to Saia and then someone gives it to us like in the other stations? " Hyun Bin asked.

"No, just tell Saia what you need and she will automatically give it to you. This room is also integrated with its own materializer, " Bakro answered.

"Our room is also equipped with a materializer? Isn't that too much? I heard from someone that even the station that houses the presidents of the different countries, don't have that kind of luxury," Rain commented.

"You're right. A materializer needs a lot of crystal to keep it operational so not everyone nor any room can just have it. Only the royalties and high ranking officials have their own materializer in their rooms. But since the 2 Princes have selected you to live here then all the special treatments are given to you. So you should consider yourselves very fortunate. There is one rule that I must impose on all of you, and that is please don't go into restricted areas of the station. The hologram room will be made accessible to all of you so that part of the station will not be closed. But beyond that portion, everything will be off limits," Bakro explained.

"But how can we go into restricted parts of the station if those portions are separated by locked doors, not just one but several doors?" Max asked.
"Good question! You see, not all the doors automatically close especially when someone living in let's say portion A is in portion D, " Bakro replied.               "Um, Mr. Bakro, can we ask who else lives here aside from the 2 Princes?" he asked.

"Aside from Prince Lion and Prince Aros, all the visiting royalties and high ranking officials of the planets Scion and Xion stay here. Also a large number of soldiers that are assigned in the control room, teleport room and crystal room."

"Crystal room?" Jeong Hoon asked.

"There is a room here where all the crystals teleported from our planets are stored. As you all know, all the stations in your planet are currently running because of the crystals that are harvested from Scion and Xion," Bakro again replied.

"This station is really something, huh?" Jun Ki murmured to himself.

"This station is the heart of all the stations in your planet. It monitors all the activities in the other stations in the whole planet. And it also keeps track of the above ground activities being conducted," Bakro continued.

"Well, I have to leave you now. I hope that everything is already clear with all of you," Bakro said.

"Thank you, Mr. Bakro," Rain said with a big smile.

"Goodbye." And Bakro left.

BORROWED FROM GOD (FAN FICTION) (CHAPTER 8)

마주치지 말자 (Let`s Not...) - Super Junior
CHAPTER 8

The next day . . . .

As the DBSK boys practiced with Mukades, they got closer and closer to her like brothers to a sister. . . except for Micky. He was already very obvious with his intentions. But it seems that Muko was truly very innocent and was still unconscious of Micky’s real feeling towards her.

Every time that Micky and Mukades played the piano, all the people in the room just stops and concentrates on the music that they played. It was like they fitted each other so perfectly. The harmony they had while playing the piano was truly remarkable. It was as if they had been partners for a very long time.               Hikaru couldn’t help but smile as she watched the closeness that was developing between her sister and Micky.

And like what Micky promised, he started to talk to Muko about different things that made living outside the convent more interesting like traveling from country to country, visiting exotic places and meeting a lot of different people with different nationalities. He even talked to her about things like watching a movie with someone and going to restaurant for a date. He was basically trying to give hint to her that he wanted to ask her out on a date. But his hints were all failures. Muko didn’t understand his real intention.

So the days passed by quickly with Micky’s efforts being a total failure.

And the day of the concert finally arrived . . . . .

The DBSK boys were all very nervous as they entered the hotel. This was a very special event for them. They were going to perform in front of people who were very famous and of high rank than them. All of them were wishing very hard that everything will go smoothly. And that they wouldn’t encounter any problems.

Hours passed . . . The concert was finished without any problems. All the guests were very happy with the performance that the DBSK boys and Mukades gave.

All the guests loved the piano performances that Mukades and Micky gave. They were applauded and praised continuously even after the concert. Like in their practice, Micky and Muko showed such a special connection in the music that they were playing that anyone who heard the pieces was automatically hooked and captivated by the beautiful melody that they shared.

At the party . . . .

Hikaru looked at Mukades. Her sister was talking to some businessmen that were acquainted with their father.  Hikaru smiled . Mukades was happily talking to the men while drinking a glass of wine. She was guessing that her sister had already drunk more than five glasses of wine already. Hikaru then started to look around. She was looking for someone.

A few minutes after looking around, Hikaru finally found the person she was looking for.

Micky was drinking a glass of wine together with the other DBSK members.
Hikaru slowly   approached Micky. She was already determined to start her plan. This was the night . . . She needed to act fast or she may never have another chance again.

“Are you guys enjoying the party?” Hikaru asked.

U-Know nodded. “Yes, we are. Thank you for such a wonderful experience. We will always treasure performing here and together with Muko.”

“Speaking of Muko, where is she? I haven’t seen her for almost an hour,” Max asked curiously.

“Frankly . . . I haven’t seen her either. The last time I saw her, she was talking to some male acquaintances we have . . . you know business related,” Hikaru said while trying to act like she really didn’t know where Muko was.

Micky suddenly became concerned. “Don’t you think you should be looking for her?”

Hikaru smiled and nodded her head. “Can you help me? Muko can be a bit difficult to handle when she is drunk.”

Micky easily agreed and immediately followed Hikaru. They started to look around the different groups of people scattered all over the hotel’s large function room.

More than 15 minutes passed, they were finally able to find Mukades together with a group of young men. She was obviously very drunk already. She was talking non-stop and the men just kept on refilling her glass with more wine.
Micky quickly felt like his temper rose passed his head. He hurriedly walked to where Mukades was standing and took the glass she was holding.

“Hey. . . That’s my drink. Get your own glass,” Mukades said in a slurred manner.

After seeing Micky, Mukades quickly smiled. “Micky . . . it’s you. Do you want a drink too? Hey guys, give my friend a drink as well.”

“That’s enough Muko. I think you need to stop drinking now,” Micky uttered with a serious expression on his face.

Muko quickly stared at Micky. Then she smiled and laughed. “What’s wrong with you? Why are you so serious? Come on . . . . smile. This is a party. Everyone should be happy. Everybody . . . let’s drink,” Muko uttered happily. She was really very drunk and was already not herself.

“Micky, can you help me to get Muko out of here?” Hikaru asked.

Micky looked at Hikaru and nodded immediately. “Come on, Muko. It’s time to say goodbye to your friends.”

“Hey, we’re not finished talking to Muko yet,” one of the men who Muko was talking to couldn’t help but utter.

Micky angrily stared back at the man. “Can’t you guys see that she’s already drunk. She needs to rest now. Come on, Muko. We’re leaving,” he uttered as he quickly grabbed Muko by the hand and started to lead her out of the room.
Hikaru apologized to the young men that Mukades was talking to, and then she hurriedly followed Micky and Mukades.

And as soon as she went outside of the function room, she was immediately surprised by what she saw.

“What happened?” she asked Micky with worry.               Micky was already carrying Mukades in his arms.

“She passed out. Is there some place that we can take her? She really needs to rest,” Micky said with concern all over his face.

“Oh, yes. Come with me. We have a room on the top floor,” Hikaru answered.
An hour passed . . . . Mukades was already resting on a bed.  While Micky and Hikaru were talking nearby.

Micky looked at Hikaru with shock in his eyes. “What are you saying? Are you insane? You’re her sister . . . how can you ask me to sleep with her?”

“I know she likes you and I can tell that you like her too . . . I think it would be better for her to sleep with you than someone else . . .” Hikaru answered calmly.
“Are you thinking straight? You’re asking me to sleep with your sister! Are you human?” Micky asked with anger in his eyes.

Hikaru tried to smile. “If you can’t do it . . . I can find someone else. You don’t have to be so over reacting . . .”

“Why? Why are you doing this to your own sister?” Micky asked with so many different thoughts running in his mind.

“Why?” Hikaru asked as sadness filled her eyes. “I am doing this for her own good. . . I am doing this to stop her from achieving her dream.”

“But . . . you’re thinking of a bad way to this. You can stop her from being a nun in other ways . . . not like this,” Micky protested.

“Do you think I haven’t done everything in my power to stop her? Believe me . . . I have already tried every thing from the good to the bad . . . And honestly, this is my last option. I really don’t have any choice, but to do this. I know this is too much. But . . . I don’t want her to be a nun, and that is more important for me,” Hikaru uttered with authority in her voice.

Micky looked at Muko helplessly lying on the bed. She was already very drunk but still conscious.

“Are you going to do it . . . or do I have to find someone else?” Hikaru asked coldly.

“You’re really serious?” Micky asked with fear and confusion.

“Do I look like I’m joking?” Hikaru asked with a blank expression on her face.
“I  . . . I . . . “ Micky started to utter.

“Fine . . . just leave the room. I will find someone else,” Hikaru said as she slowly stood up. She was about to dial her phone when . . . .

“Wait! I . . . I’ll do it . . .” Micky uttered as he felt like his entire soul was weakening. He felt like he was falling into a deep and dark tunnel that had no way of returning.

A smile appeared on Hikaru’s lips . . . “Remember . . . you need to sleep with her . . . tonight. . . You can’t fool me . . . She’s still a virgin . . . So I will certainly see a proof on the bed tomorrow, if you really slept with her or not . . . If by chance, you won’t be able to do it . . . I will make sure that the next person I talk with . . . will be able to do it without any difficulty. So I suggest you keep your word.”

“You’re a monster!” Micky uttered with hatred in his eyes.

Hikaru turned away from Micky. She wanted to hide the emotions that were slowly showing in her eyes. She wanted to act like she was feeling nothing.
“It’s settled then. I am leaving now. Don’t worry about your friends. I will take care of them so they won’t go around asking about you. Just make sure you take care of my sister. . . .Please be gentle with her,” Hikaru uttered as a sharp pain quickly shot through her heart.

Somehow she wanted to cry right at that moment. She didn’t want to do this kind of act to her beloved Muko, but she didn’t want her to end up as a nun either. And her desire to stop Mukades was stronger than her desire to be fair with her.

As she slowly walked towards the door, she quickly bit down on her lip to stop herself from crying. “I’m sorry. . . Mukades . . . I’m sorry . . .Always remember I love you.”

A RACE TO MY HEART (FAN FICTION) (CHAPTER 18)

TAXI - 東方神起
CHAPTER 18

Fate hurriedly went to the boys’ apartment. She didn’t want Max to get more upset. Somehow she wanted to make up for whatever wrong thing she did that made him angry with her.

As she nervously approached the boys’ apartment, she was trying to think of a good topic to talk about with Max.

She was already in front of the door, when she noticed that it wasn’t locked. She immediately went into the apartment thinking that maybe Max had really left it open for her.

And as soon as she entered the living room, shock and anger quickly filled her heart and soul.

Max was on the sofa . . . kissing the young dancer he was flirting with in the studio a few days ago.

Fate felt like her heart was instantly crushed.  “Max!” she shouted.

Max suddenly stopped kissing the girl, and coldly gave Fate a blank stare.
“Max, what are you doing?” Fate asked with a quivering voice. She was trying very hard to stop herself from crying.

Max smiled. “Can’t you see what I’m doing? Do I have to spell it out for you?” he asked with a cold and maddening smile on his lips.

“Max, why are you doing this to me? Why are you hurting me?” Fate continuously asked.

“Why? Maybe you should ask yourself that question?” Max replied with anger.
“Why . . . Max? What have I done to deserve this?” Fate asked with tears already forming in her eyes.

The female dancer slowly stood up from the sofa, then looked at Fate. She then started to arrange herself and her things.

“Max, I’m leaving. I think the two of you should talk. If you need me again, just call me . . . But please next time you contact me again . . . make sure that you’re no longer attached to someone. Choose Max . . . it’s me or her,” the dancer uttered as she walked out of the room.

Fate just stared and stood aside as the girl left. She couldn’t understand why she couldn’t force herself to be mad with the girl. Somehow she was thinking that the dancer was just caught in the middle of everything that was happening. . . and whatever she saw wasn’t her fault . . .

As soon as Fate and Max were left alone in the room . . .

“Max, please tell me what have I done to make you hate me this much?” Fate finally uttered as tears were already flowing from her eyes.

Max stood up and angrily looked at Fate. “Do you really want to know what you did? Are you prepared to tell me the truth . . . if I tell you what is bothering me . . . what is making me insane these passed few days?”

“Yes . . . I will tell you whatever it is you want to know. You know I don’t lie to you,” Fate answered in between sobs.

“You never lied to me? How I wish I can believe that,” he uttered as he bitterly smiled to hide the pain he was feeling.

“Max . . .” Fate uttered his name again.

Max slowly approached Fate. And as soon as he was standing next to her, he quickly took her into his arms and started to kiss her.

“Max . . . what are you doing?” Fate cried out as she tried to break free of his grasp.

Max continued to passionately kiss Fate on her neck, and as he kissed her, his hand was already starting to open the buttons on the blouse she was wearing.
Fate tried to stop Max. She was totally confused on why he was acting so strange. She didn’t want something to happen between them again. She wasn’t prepared for the consequences. She wanted to clear up the misunderstanding between them first.

“Max, please stop,” Fate slowly begged in a low voice.

Max quickly stopped and stared at Fate. Anger was visible in his eyes.               “Why? Why do you want me to stop? Am I not good enough for you? Am I not a good kisser? Am I not turning you on? . . . Is Michael a better kisser than me? Did you sleep with him already? Was he good in bed? How many times have you guys made love? Did he satisfy you?” Max asked as if he was going mad.
Suddenly . . . Fate gave Max a hard slap on the face. She was totally caught by surprise by her own action.

“Max . . .” Fate uttered in complete shock and horror. She didn’t know why she slapped him. But he was already saying too many hurtful words, she tried to reason in her mind.

Max smiled. “You’re surprised? Yes, I know. I saw the two of you kissing in the parking area of the race track. You made a total fool out of me, Fate. How could you? You said you loved me . . . so why?” he uttered as tears streamed down his face.

“Max, please let me explain. What you saw . . . it is all just a misunderstanding. Yes, Michael kissed me. And I am sorry, that I didn’t even try to stop him. But you see . . . I was somehow scared to hurt his feelings,” Fate tried to give her side.

“You didn’t want to hurt his feelings? What about my feelings?” Max shouted.
“Max, Michael is just my friend. . . He can never take your place. Please just forgive me . . . I know it was all my fault. I should have stopped him. But . . . but. . . I was too weak at that time,” Fate uttered.               “Get out!” Max screamed.
“Max?” Fate asked in total shock. “What are you saying? Can’t you forgive me?”

Max stared at Fate with such cold eyes that somehow it could easily break through ice. “No!” he uttered as he quickly turned his back on her.

“Max, wait please . . . Please forgive me . . . I love you Max,” Fate uttered as she started to cry uncontrollably.

She hurriedly rushed to Max’s side. She tried to touch his arm, but he quickly brushed her hand away.

“Leave Fate. I don’t want to see you ever again. You already broke my heart. I don’t think I can ever forgive you. So let’s just break up. It is better for the both of us. I don’t want you to stay near me . . . because I am afraid I might just end up hurting you more. So please just leave. Let’s end this,” Max uttered as he tried to hide his face that was already covered with tears.

“No, Max. I . . . I love you,” Fate uttered with tears streaming down her face.
Max tried hard not to look at Fate. He was already hurting so much and seeing her cry was making everything much harder.

“Leave!” Max shouted as he violently shoved Fate away from him.

Fate continued to cry uncontrollably.

Max quickly turned away and went straight to his room.

“Leave Fate. I’m sorry but I can’t love you anymore,” he uttered with tears already clouding his eyes.

As Max slowly closed the door behind him, he could still hear the heartbreaking cry that Fate made. His heart was breaking into a million pieces as well. How he wanted to stop her from crying and comfort her. But then it would all be just a lie. He was angry with her and somehow he didn’t know how to forgive. . . and forget. So it was better this way. . . It was better for them to just part and go their separate ways.

Feeling weak, Max leaned on the door of his room. . . and slowly he wept.

“I’m sorry, Fate. I’m sorry. . .Even though I still love you . . .the fact remains . . . I don’t know how to forgive you,” he uttered.   And while Max cried inside his room, Fate continued to cry out in the living room.

“I love you Max . . . Please forgive me . . .” Fate continuously begged. She was already down on her knees. Somehow all her strength had disappeared and she was already feeling very lost and weak. She continued to cry and sob uncontrollably. “Why Max? Why? Why did we have to end this way?”

A RACE TO MY HEART (FAN FICTION) (CHAPTER 17)

죽어있는 것 (Dead At Heart) - Super Junior

CHAPTER 17

Fate sadly stared at the sun as it slowly sets in the sky. It has been four days since the last time she saw him. Her heart was aching as she remembered what had happened that day. She still couldn’t understand what was happening to Max. She couldn’t understand why he suddenly changed from a sweet and loving man into someone so uncaring and despicable.

She sighed again as she slowly leaned forward on the railings of the balcony. She then stared at how high she was. “The people below look so small. They just seem to continuously move on and on . . .” she uttered to herself. “What if I suddenly fall from here? Will Max even care?” she asked herself as the strong wind continuously brushed up her face.

“Fate! What are you doing?” Michael shouted as he quickly grabbed her by the waist.

“Michael . . . what are you doing?” Fate shouted as she was totally surprised by Michael’s sudden action.

“What am I doing? I should be the one asking you that question. What are you doing? Are you planning to commit suicide or something?” Michael asked angrily.

“Suicide? Who?” Fate asked suddenly. She couldn’t understand what Michael was talking about.

“Yes . . . suicide . . . and it’s you! Do you know the position you were in just a few minutes ago? Just a little more . . . and you would have easily fallen down the balcony. Are you losing your mind? Before you lost yourself while driving a car . . . and now while you’re in your own hotel room? God! Do I need to hire a bodyguard just to keep you safe?” Michael answered with anger.               Fate’s angry reaction immediately switched to a more calm but sad expression.

“Oh, I’m sorry. I wasn’t thinking again,” she slowly uttered.

Michael’s tight grip on Fate’s waist slowly eased until he finally released her. He then gently turned her around to face him.

“What’s wrong Fate? Why are you acting like this? Please tell me what’s bothering you,” he said with concern in his eyes.

“Michael . . . I  . . .” Fate tried to decide whether she was allowed to tell her problem to Michael.

Michael’s face softened. He could easily sense Fate’s hesitation.

“Fate . . . I know I’ve done a very stupid thing a few days ago. And I don’t really have a good excuse to clear myself up. But please . . . try to understand . . . I only did it because I love you. And I just wanted to finally let it all out once and for all. Do you know how scared I was that  day? I was thinking that you were going to die. . . without even knowing how much I loved you. I’m sorry . . . if I kissed you. I promise it will never happen again. Look, I am not forcing you to love me back. I am already contented with being just your friend . . . Since I know that it is the only thing that you can offer me,” Michael tried to explain himself.

“Michael, just stop . . . please. You don’t have to explain. Let’s just forget it . . . Let’s just pretend that it never happened,” Fate uttered with a low voice.
Michael’s heart felt a sharp pain in his heart after hearing Fate’s words.               But he immediately brushed aside the pain and tried to act like nothing was wrong. He didn’t expect anything from Fate. He knew that she only treated him like a brother and nothing more.

“All right . . . Let’s just forget about it. Maybe now you can tell me what’s happening to you?” Michael asked again.

Fate looked straight into Michael’s eyes. Her hesitation and fear quickly disappeared after seeing the comforting love in his eyes.

“Michael . . . I  . . . I already gave myself up,” she weakly uttered.

“What? Give yourself up? What do you mean?” Michael asked. He suddenly became confused with what he heard.

“Michael . . . I already gave myself to Max,” Fate said again. This time in a more clearer and stronger voice.

“What?” Michael exclaimed.               “I’ve already surrendered myself to him,” Fate said again.

“What have you done? Are you really out of your mind? You’ve only known him for a short time and . . . you already slept with him? I can’t believe you Fate!” Michael uttered with extreme anger.

After seeing Michael’s reaction, Fate started to cry.

“I know I’m stupid. I shouldn’t have slept with him. But I love him, Michael. I love him with all my heart. That’s why . . . I gave myself to him,” Fate uttered in between sobs.

Michael tried to control his anger. Somehow after seeing Fate’s tears, his anger immediately disappeared and was replaced with pity and understanding.
Michael lovingly took Fate into his arms. He gently embraced her as if to comfort her.

“It’s all right. I was just carried away. Please don’t cry. You know I hate seeing you crying. So please stop . . . okay,” Michael tried to comfort Fate.

“I’m so stupid Michael. . . I’m so stupid!” Fate uttered as she continued to cry.
“Fate . . . I know Max loves you. So you don’t have anything to be worried about. You just have to believe in him . . . Just continue to take care of him. . . and love him . . . and everything will be all right,” Michael said with such warmth and love.
After hearing those words, Fate finally broke down into an uncontrollable cry.
Another two days passed . . . .

The race was getting nearer but Fate couldn’t concentrate on her practice. She was always staring blankly at everything and everyone.

Her strange behavior was already being noticed by everyone in the team.
“Fate . . . are you sure you can drive? Do you want to back out the race? Just tell me and I’ll help you,” Michael asked with worry.

Fate tried to smile. “I’m fine, Michael. Don’t worry about me.”

Michael stared at Fate for a few seconds. He wanted to say something but someone suddenly called him.

Fate smiled at Michael again. “Go . . . I think someone needs to talk to you. I’m fine . . . Just go. . .”

A few minutes after Michael left, Fate’s phone suddenly rang.

Fate excitedly took out her phone from her pocket. She already knew who it was . . . . It was Max.

“Hello . . . Max?” she uttered with a weak and nervous voice.

“Fate . . . I’m at the apartment. Do you think you can come here?” Max asked coldly.

Fate instantly felt the cold and angry tone in Max’s voice. Somehow she wanted to say that she couldn’t come and she was in the middle of practice for the race. But her heart was screaming his name that somehow she couldn’t say no.

“Fate . . . are you there?’ Max asked.

“Uhmm . . . yes . . . I’ll be there after an hour. I still have a practice to attend to,” she was finally able to say out loud.

“Oh . . . is that so? So you mean your practice is more important than me now?” Max asked as if he was hurt.

“Max . . . it’s not like that . . . But you know the race is just . . .” she was trying to explain.

“Look . . . if you don’t want to come, just say so. You don’t have to make up such lame excuses. I’ll just find myself another girl,” Max said angrily.               “Max . . . don’t be mad please . . . okay. I’ll go there . . . Just give me half an hour,” Fate quickly uttered.

“Okay . . . just make sure you hurry,” Max uttered.

“Yes, I’ll hurry,” Fate replied as she quickly closed her phone. She then hurriedly ran to where Michael was.

“Michael . . . I need to go,” she said.

Michael quickly stared at Fate. “Why? What’s wrong?”

“I just need to go Michael . . . please,” Fate begged.

“Fine . . . go . . . Just make sure that you go back to the hotel before midnight. We still have an early meeting tomorrow,” Michael said as he tried to act calm.
Fate nodded and then smiled. “Thank you. . . . Promise I’ll go home early.”
Michael just sadly stared at Fate as she hurriedly left the racing track.

He already knew the reason why Fate suddenly left. It could only be one reason . . . . . It was all because of Max.

CHAPTER 7

The following day . . . .

The DBSK boys went to the Satou mansion very early in the morning. They had decided to start their practice early in the morning so that they could rehearse more songs. They knew they only had a limited time to prepare. So they needed to make use of all the time that was available to them.

Even though the said event is just a mini-concert, the DBSK boys still wanted to give their very best in the said activity. They didn’t want the people who will be attending the concert to go home unsatisfied.
As soon as Hikaru saw the DBSK boys waiting patiently in the living room, a sweet smile quickly appeared on her lips.

“Sorry boys, but Muko is still sleeping. But don’t worry I already woke her up. She’ll be down in a few minutes,” Hikaru uttered as she approached the boys.               “Oh, I think we should have called first. We’re sorry if we’re too early,” U-Know apologized.

“No, no . . . we should be the ones apologizing. Muko knows that she was supposed to have an early practice with you guys. But she still stayed up late chatting with her friends. Forgive her please . . . She’s been really missing her friends for some time now. So she was really very excited yesterday that she lost track of time,” Hikaru tried to explain.

“Oh, it’s okay. We understand,” Xiah replied.

Hikaru slowly sat down on a chair facing the DBSK boys.

This was the day she was finally going to start her plans.               “So have your manager discussed with you the details of the concert?” Hikaru asked rather innocently.

“No, he didn’t say anything. Is there something important that we should know about?” Micky asked back.

“Well the details of the mini-concert have been set. It will be held in the hotel that we own. And the number of guests will be limited to 500 people only. Aside from that the event will be held at exactly 1pm until 3pm. Then afterwards. . . there will be a party for all the guests and performers. The party will last until 7pm. After that, you are all free to go. But I have also booked some rooms for you to stay in . . . if you suddenly decide to stay the night in the hotel. I know that all of you may become very tired that you may just want to stay in the hotel instead,” Hikaru explained in detail.

“You only have 500 guests and you’re doing it in a hotel . . . plus you’re also having a party? Are you sure you can call it a charity concert?” U-Know asked in disbelief.

Hikaru couldn’t help but laugh. “Yes, I can still call it a charity concert since all my 500 guests are businessmen, politicians, socialites . . . all my guests are very rich. The price of a single ticket in my concert is equivalent to fifteen times more than of what your normal ticket price is. And aside from that . . . all the guests have already given out cash donations. That is why I am giving a party as well. I want to thank all those 500 guests for the large amount of money that they already donated as soon as they received the invitation for the concert. I know the children from the orphanage that we will be helping will surely be very happy.”

The DBSK boys suddenly felt very happy as well. They couldn’t explain the happiness that they were feeling just thinking that they were going to help a lot of people, especially children.

“Oh is that so? Fifteen times higher than our normal tickets? Now that is too expensive,” Max exclaimed.

“The people that I have invited in the concert don’t really care about the price that they need to pay or the amount of donations that they need to give. All they care about is that they will have a good time. So I hope all of you will try to do your best to make this activity very successful. And as for my sister . . . please just bear with her. I know she’s hard to teach sometimes, and she really is stubborn too. But she’s quite good in playing the piano. I want this concert to also be a very special memory for her . . . before . . . ” Hikaru said with a soft voice.

“Before what?” Micky curiously asked.

Hikaru tried to smile. “Haven’t she told you?”

“Told us what?” Xiah asked as well.

“After her vacation, she will be going back . . . to enter a convent. I want her time here with us . . . for the very last time . . . to be a special memory that she will treasure even if she’s no longer with us,” Hikaru said with a soft and sad expression on her face.

Micky suddenly felt like someone had crushed his heart. He was just starting to get to know Muko, and he suddenly finds out that she is going to enter a convent. All his hopes and dreams of being close to her quickly faded away.
“What?” Max asked, quite shocked.

“Your sister wants to be a nun?” Xiah asked as if quite amazed with what he heard.

Hikaru just nodded her head. “Yes, it’s been her so-called long time dream to be a nun. . . Frankly it isn’t really her dream. It is all her grandmother’s fault. That old woman insisted that Muko should enter a convent, once she reaches 18. She’s the one who made Muko promised. I really hate that old woman for doing that to my dear Muko. My sister belongs to the outside world . . . with us . . . and not inside such a horrible place,” she said with such rage in her eyes.

The DBSK boys just exchange glances with each other. Somehow they were confused on what was happening. They wanted to know more, but were feeling a bit awkward to ask.

“Uhmm. . . can I ask something Hikaru? I am really confused. Why do you call Muko’s grandmother as her grandmother? The two of you are sisters right?” Jaejoong asked. Somehow he found the courage to ask since he was very curious and he wanted to know the answers to the questions lingering in his mind.

Hikaru stared at the boys. She then smiled sadly. “Haven’t you guys noticed that we are basically too different from each other? All of you can easily tell that she’s not pure Japanese.”

“So. . . she’s your half sister?” Xiah asked.

“No, adopted. . .” Hikaru uttered.

“Muko is adopted?” Micky asked as well.

“No. . .  I am the one who is adopted,” Hikaru finally divulged. Somehow this was a part of her life that she found so hard to talk about.

“Oh . . . so that’s the reason why . . .” Jaejoong couldn’t help but utter.

Hikaru tried to put a smile. “Yes, I’m the one who is adopted. I came from an orphanage here in Japan. Muko is the real daughter and the only heir of the Satou family. That is also the reason why I don’t want her to be a nun. She belongs in the luxury that is destined for her. I can’t imagine her living such a pitiful life. . . Uhmm.. I don’t know if I should be telling you this . . . But I know this story will surely help all of you to understand our family’s situation. . .” she suddenly stopped talking and sighed heavily before continuing. “Muko’s mother comes from a wealthy family from Europe. While having a vacation here in Japan, she accidentally met our father. . . and they fell in love. But the relatives of Muko’s mother were all against their relationship. Both of them tried to fight for their love. In the end, Muko’s mother got pregnant with her . . . and died during child birth. Ever since then, Muko had been living her life . . . going back and forth between our father and her grandmother. You see, Muko’s mother was supposed to go to a convent before he met our father. It was a tradition that their family had been keeping for generations. And since it wasn’t followed, Muko’s grandmother insisted that Muko enter a convent as a replacement for her mother. She basically brainwashed Muko. She made her think that it is Muko’s responsibility to fulfill such a crazy tradition.”

All of the DBSK boys were left speechless. They were shocked with what they learned. Somehow even they couldn’t accept such a fate for Muko.

“Can’t you talk to her? Maybe you can still change her mind?” Micky asked with a quivering voice. He was trying very hard to control his emotions.

Hikaru slowly shook her head. “She has already decided. I have already tried to talk to her a million times. But she wouldn’t listen. She has really decided to devote her life as a nun.”

Micky felt his heart was getting very heavy. It was like the air he was breathing was getting thinner and thinner. . . He was finding it so hard to breathe.               “I hope you can make my sister’s first and last piano performance memorable for her. . . Memorable enough . . . for her to take a second look at what she might be missing . . .” Hikaru uttered.

“Are you asking us to help you . . . change your sister’s mind regarding her decision to be a nun?” Max asked in a surprised reaction.

“Yes,” Hikaru answered straight.

“Well. . . we really don’t know about that. She’s your sister . . . and if you . . . weren’t successful in changing her mind . . . How are we supposed to do it? We are not that close to her . . . to be able to give advices or suggestions,” U-Know tried to explain.

“All I need is that you guys help me . . . with making her see that life outside the convent is much better than what she is planning for herself,” Hikaru uttered back.

U-Know shook his head as if confused. He knew that what Hikaru was asking was too impossible for them to do.

“Please . . . what I am asking isn’t hard. Just tell her anything . . . about life . . . about how nice it is to do the things that you want . . . how wonderful it is to be in love . . . She’s very special to me. Even if we are not related by blood, I still consider her as my real sister. I love her with all my heart. And I am willing to do anything just to see her happy. And I know being a nun won’t make her happy. I am afraid it will just make her miserable for the rest of her life. Please . . . help me,” Hikaru begged as she tried to control her tears from falling.

Jaejoong, Xiah, U-Know and Max exchanged glances with one another. They didn’t know what to say. They certainly didn’t want to commit to something they knew they couldn’t do.

“I will help you,” Micky suddenly said.

All the other DBSK boys immediately stared at their friend. They were shocked to what he had just said.

Hikaru suddenly smiled. “You’re going to help me? Are you sure? Oh . . . thank you. . . thank you so much.”

Micky just nodded his head. He knew what he had just said was going to bring him trouble. But he wanted to give it a try. He wanted to see if he could change Muko’s mind. He wanted to see if what he was feeling was real . . . .

“Muko, I won’t let you go so easily. . . I don’t know if what I am going to do is right. But the only thing I know is that I like you. And I don’t want to live the rest of my life wondering what would have happened . . . if I did this and I didn’t do that. I want to see where my fate will lead me . . . I want to see if you are destined to be in my life . . . I want to know . . . if we are destined to make beautiful music together,” Micky slowly uttered in his mind as he blankly stared at the piano where he and Muko had played such a lovely tune just a day before. And he was suddenly left wondering if the music they played could go on forever.
